Default Jose Mourinho on route to where ??

Jose Mourinho has been spotted house hunting in London, according to Wednesday's papers.

The Daily Mirror and The Sun both claim 'WORLD EXCLUSIVE' status for their reports that the Real Madrid boss was spotted looking at properties in Mayfair and Knightsbridge.

Both also have pictures - which in fairness could have been taken in Croydon for all they give away.

The papers claim that the house hunting is a sure-fire sign that the Portuguese manager - who has been openly unhappy in the Spanish capital of late, despite his team pulling out a huge lead in La Liga - is heading back to the Premier League.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham will desperately try to secure his services at the end of the season, the two reports claim - though Crystal Palace fans will also be getting excited if it turns out the pictures are indeed from Croydon.

The Daily Mail reports that Lukas Podolski is to join Arsenal this summer. The 26-year-old Germany striker has apparently agreed personal terms with the Gunners, though Cologne are yet to settle on a fee with the Premier League side. £15 million is the expected sum.

The Mail also claims that Didier Drogba's asking price is £6m a year after his Chelsea contract extension talks ground to a halt once more.

The Times suggests that Nicklas Bendtner will consider moving to Russia when his current deal at Arsenal expires at the end of the season. The Danish international is currently on loan at Sunderland, but evidently wants to find somewhere even colder to ply his trade.

Internazionale defender Walter Samuel is refusing to sign a new deal to keep him at the San Siro, with The Sun claiming that his reticence has sparked a three-way battle between Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea to land the 33-year-old despite his £90,000-a-week demands.

The Daily Mirror carries a story that that Barcelona are trying to poach Chelsea 16-year-old midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, while The Sun says that Manchester United have given teenage rebels Paul Pogba and Ezekiel Fryers until the end of the week to agree new contracts. United could be strengthening their squad should those two go with the addition of Torino's 21-year-old attacking midfielder Alen Stevanovic, according to the Mail.

We couldn't help but warm to the Mirror as it got all excited about the return of Carlos Tevez, with pictures of his 45-minute run-out for Manchester City's reserves on Tuesday: "Knackered, a bit of a belly... but TEV IS BACK!," shouts their headline.

And finally, there's a great snippet in the Daily Mail from Avram Grant, who is bigging up his ill-fated spell in charge of Chelsea: "I'm not arrogant, but when I look back I think that was the best season for Chelsea in recent years, in terms of the way the side played."
