The ladbrokes puppy derby gets underway at Monmore on Thursday.
Won in recent years by the likes of Bandicoot Tipoki with Kinda ready as runner up both have gone on to win 2010 and 2009 English Derby.
This Puppy comp is normally the best Puppy competition in England and the form normally turns out to be a very good guide for the rest of the year. However to me this years comp seems to be a very very weak competition.
The only acception to this is years favourite is Droopys Greg owned by sky sports presenter Gary Newbon, installed 4/1 generally.
Droopys Greg trained by the genius that is Nick Savva started off his career at Henlow and has won 5 out his 8 races to date and is worthy ante post favourite.
