Now i know Skypoker is not every one's cup of tea but last week at 9 00 they put on what i think was their first 9 seat-er tournament, a 4k gtd !~
As we all know the format on Sky is 6 seat-er with the enfisis on speed to cram the televised tournament into 3 hours for the live show. However lately on Tuesday and Wednesday they have been running recorded interviews with the stars or recordings of a winners journey from the previous day.
The 9.00 event on tuessay gets no live coverage (which i prefer, no distractions) but the important thing to note is some of the players still want to get going at a hundred miles an hour, thinking the 9 seat-er game is played the same as they would a 6 seat-er.
I played this tournament and cashed in the top 20 last week, although i wouldn't say it was easy but all you needed was to be patient and let the others chase their tails , the hands came every now and then and slowly climbed into a challenging position..
So tonight i'm back playing the 9.00, 4k gtd, however i'm not sure yet as we write that it's a 9 or 6 seater but 9 would be good, just for the change
