With less than a week until the explosive start we expect to see in the first week of the all new Dream Team IV, we ask you - have you got your team registered?
The fourth online community tournament in the series so far, Dream Team IV offers the chance for players to band together, create the ultimate poker team, and compete every Monday for 15 weeks to climb to the top of the Dream Team IV leaderboard. With five different tournaments spread over the 15 week competition, it's a perfect opportunity for multi-talented poker players to enter. For others, it makes it an ideal opportunity to learn more about varying poker games, the games are: NL Hold'em Rebuy/Addon, NL Hold'em deep stack freezeout, Pot Limit Omaha freezeout, NL Hold'em double-chance and NL Limit Hold'em freezeout. Each tournament will be played three times over the 15 weeks and feature a $44 buy-in. $20 will go towards the prizepool for the night of the tournament, and the other $20 will be added each week to go towards the live final prizepool.
Following the 15 weeks of team competition, the Dream Team IV players will then look forward to the live final which will take place at the Circus Casino at Birmingham's Star City Leisure Complex and will be FREE entry. The points that each team accumulate every week (determined by the finishing position of each player) will put the teams into a leaderboard, where each week you will see where your team stands against the competition. After the 15 weeks, the amount of points your team has accumulated will be calculated into chip stacks for the live final. Therefore, the more points you have, the more chips each player in your team will start with in the live final, giving you an advantage and more chance at winning the Grand Prize.
The prize for the winning team is a $45,000 package which consists of 6 x $6,500 Irish Open Packages as well as $6,000 cash for the team. Each package of $6,500 includes entry into the 3,200 + 300 Euro, freezeout tournament which takes place on April 9th to 13th 2009 and will include accommodation and expenses.
