You have to feel for the guy though. He is brought in as manager, and then they appoint Dennis Wise as director of football, even without him knowing (apparently)
As a manager, if you are constantly having to have your ideas, theories and plans reviewed, discussed and approved by someone with less experience than you... its got to be a difficult situation.
Now I'm not anti Dennis Wise, and in fact, I felt really sorry for Leeds when they had that -15 point start last term, and think he did a fantastic job until he was poached (opps sorry, can't say that!) swapped to director of football at Newcastle, but I felt the writing was on the wall for Keegan, the moment it happened.
If anything I'm surprised he lasted this long.
As for the clause, yes I understand Tony you are right, but it makes you wonder how much pressure Ashton knew would be placed on Keegan if he did this.
