with hindsight Mickelson was a cracking bet on last day,28/1 available,I believe bookies took a caning on the open, all fancied players in top 7, stenson saved my bacon.after mickelsons result at castle stuart which is similar to muirfield and same conditions, we should all be ashamed that we didnt back him.

Yes i backed Big Phil at 25/1 and 20/1 going into the last day so ended up making a few quid especially as i was laying off Choker Westwood at around 3.1 most of the afternoon...8-P

think westwood played well,to call him a choker is a bit harsh, his putting was much improved unfortunately his iron play which is normally amongst the best let him down. I will be suprised if he doesnt get a major, but saying that he has a lot of moving parts in his swing and under pressure of victory it could cost him.

Yes Choker was a bit tongue in cheek but thats the second time he has held a two shot lead into the final round of a major and lost..

Maybe he played a little to defensive early on and then when he needed to get some birdies he had got to the holes which were playing the hardest..

I have backed Westwood for three years in majors and would have loved to see him do it as there are plenty of worse players to have won a major then him.... but i think hes another Monty...and i have to give up on him for the future...

So that means he will win the next three.....8-P

I told him yesterday face to face,my internet pal thinks he is a choker,Lee said its only a matter of time before he wins one and now he has his putting sorted out,a little work on his irons and hes positive abou ta good finish at oak hill in a few weeks, 25/1 with corals.
goodluck.

watching him yesterday it was like watching phil taylor throw darts, from 100 yards he hit a 2ft round nett with a lob wedge 3 times out of 5 shots, the other 2 missed by a few feet. Im sure he has the balls to win a big one soon and hes a very personable chatty guy.
