Freedman named Forest boss.. February 1 2015
Dougie Freedman has been appointed as Nottingham Forest's new manager after the dismissal of Stuart Pearce on Sunday evening. It was announced on Sunday evening that Forest great Pearce had been relieved of his managerial duties after Saturday's 1-0 home loss to Millwall left the early pace-setters 12th in the Sky Bet Championship table, following a run of just three wins in 21 matches. The club then released a statement later on which read: "Dougie Freedman has taken over at The City Ground with immediate effect. "Freedman, who played for the Reds between 1998-2000, has previous experience of managing in the Championship after spells with Crystal Palace and Bolton Wanderers. "The club will announce further details in due course." |
