good stuff mate ..we should already be ahead of the game with the northern trust ..you put up teater , and he was available at 240 on betdaq, and you could have layed him off at 30 yesterday ....i put up scwartzel at 24 and layed him off at 4.4...so good start B (:

Tony2005 February 17th, 2013 14:58

Yes going in again on TEATER @ 75 and a bit on MERRICK @ 20

Lets hope we can layoff in running for a nice profit....

the only thing id say is he played better on the first 9 , than he did coming home yesterday ..so dont hold on too long :eek!:

Tony2005 February 17th, 2013 20:54

Held onto to the Teater bet for too long.......laid off @55

But laid off on Merrick @ 2.4 and still holding a decent bet @21

Tony2005 February 17th, 2013 22:41

Laid off again @ 2.0 just before the playoff...

£150 for the win

£70 banked if loses

Dobie2089 February 18th, 2013 12:24

Moving on to the accenture world matchplay this week , although its too early to play them yet ..i like the look of :

Matt kuchar & Steve Stricker...

Theyve both played well in this tournament in the past , in fact stricker is a past winner, and kuchar tied for 5th last year and 3rd in 2011.

Stricker started this year off well with a 12 under par 2nd place in the Hyundai tournament of champions, whilst kuchar finished 9th in the same tournament
Kuchar finshed 5th in the sony open in hawaii, and 38th in yesterdays northern trust open.

Too early to play yet as i said but there is about 48 on the exchanges on Kuchar and 108 on stricker as i type ..

Looking in depth at the groups they are both in , it looks like stricker has the easier one ..first match up against Henrik stenson, who definitely wont be a push over though , hes had 3 top 30 finishes to start 2013..however i still fancy stricker to edge it , and his next opponent should he do so would be the winner of watney v toms .

Kuchars group is a lot tougher , but he should get through comfortably enough against his first round opponent fujita , and then he meets the winner of segio garcia v jaidee.

The group draws can be be found here >>>>

Tony2005 February 18th, 2013 15:26

Nice stuff Dobie......Yes im looking forward to this event...

After yesterdays win on Merrick and the lay off on Teater i think we can attack this...:eek!:

In fact if Teater hadnt doubled the drive able 10th he would have made the playoff ....:'D

Anyway i will be posting mine tomorrow ....:scribe:

Difficult 1st round against G Mac but think he could go far this year

its not too late to edit him out of your selections 8-P

Dobie2089 February 21st, 2013 21:57

Big shock of the first round matches so far , Scwartzel going out , beaten by the rookie recent winner of the sony open .
As far as my bets , the first round five fold is down thanks to scwartzel ..but the outrights going nicely ..Kuchar imporessively dispatched his opponentn and progresses ..the 42.5 i got looks good so far , but tricky 2nd round match . Stricker playing really well and 5 up thru 13 , so thats looking good . Kuchar has a 1 hole lead late in his match and molinari also a 1 hole lead early on in his match .

Backers of howell against Woods have reason not to be happy after he concedes what cant be classed as gimme putts in any sense , on 2 occassions .

edit ..stricker now through to next round

Tony2005 February 22nd, 2013 07:19

Woods and Rory both OUT.......:D

i CAN SEE A "SHOCK" winner this year.....:news:

i could envisage Woods going out , apart from his patchy form of late (the latest victory aside) , he doesnt seem to play the course well ...mcilroy and scwartxel were the 2 big shocks for me ..should be a good days golf today :t:

Dobie2089 February 22nd, 2013 13:53

2nd round matches

poulter...won
mahan....won
Henley....lost
Kuchar....won

2 pt 4fold @ 11.16

Some fabulous 3 rd round matches up today , probably the highlight being Kaymer v Mahan, both playing really well and looks set to be a close match . other ties of note Kuchar v colsearts , poulter v Clarke, and Stricker v piercy...another good days golfing to come

Honda classic

Yang @ 126, massively overpriced for a golfer who seems to love this tournament , won it in 2009, 2nd in 2011, and tied for 30th last year

Gillis @ 285, could make a mockery of that price if performing as he did last year . Clearly a talented golfer, albeit an in and out performer . finished in top 5 of money list in 2010

Keegan Bradley @42 capable of a big show

Tony2005 February 27th, 2013 17:31

With a lot of the top boys here this week i would be surprised if one of the top 8 in the betting didnt win but for me not much value there..

I will be playing big prices and small steaks this week...

BILLY HORSCHEL @ 200'S on Betdaq might be a price worth taking for some lay off value. Has played really well lately and now back on home soil could well be around on Sunday at much shorter odds...

BRIAN HARMON @ 275'S shot the course record 61 here last year and that included a boogy and might reward e/w support.

ERNIE ELS @ 70'S can still win and will like the set up here. If the putting holds up i think hes overpriced.

SCOTT STALLINGS @ 270 hasnt really got going yet but is capable and is another bigger priced runner who might go well..

taylormade February 27th, 2013 18:54

watching Justin Rose these past few months,he has a major in him this year and a few other tour wins also, unfortunately many others have same opinion which results in a misely 12/1 for the honda classic, Nicolas Colsaerts @ 66/1 looks like good value to me,
Ross Fisher @ 125/1 is my other runner for this comp,

Keegan Bradley @42 capable of a big show

update on these , with just a few players still on course at the end of round 2 :
Leader Guthrie @ -9

yang...T44 @ -1

Keegan Bradley...T17 @ -4

Gillis...T11 @ -5

one of Tonys picks, Horschel is also going along quite nicely at -4, and Taylormades fancy , Justin rose only 3 off the lead on -6

Yes we are in good shape going into the weekend.....

Horschel birdied the last to post -5.....8-P

Dobie2089 March 3rd, 2013 11:14

Going into the final round today , my 3 are all there or thereabouts :eek!:

yang, had a good day yesterday finding 3 shots and ended the day on -4 , 4 shots off the lead and tied for 7th.

A similar story for Keegan bradley , who is also tied for 7th ., while the outsider of the trio Tom gillis , dropped a shot and is tied for 12th on -3 .

As usual ive dipped out fairly early to greenline the field , but have left a fair bit on both Gillis and yang and a little less on Bradley
