2012 masters

Im thinking Paddy Powers offer is outstanding, Tiger woods wins and you get your money back. After watching his return to form a few weeks ago,his driving and especially his putting was back to its previous best. I think he has a big chance of winning here as he has proven Augusta suits his game but 5/1 is a bit skinny for me and if he were 8/1,I would happily have £500 each way on him.my bets will be :

Tiger woods @ 5/1 bet365 £100 win
westwood @ 20/1 paddy power £20 e/w 1,2,3,4,5,6 places paid
schwatzel @ 40/1 paddy power £10 e/w
ousthuizen @ 80/1 paddy power £10 e/w
quiros @ 150/1 paddy power £5 e/w
fisher @ 200/1 paddy power £5 e/w

skybet are offering 100/1 on a named player getting hole in one
woods, westwood and mcilroy can have £5 each on that miracle.

If you having a bet on Masters , it must be with paddy power as their offer is the best by far I have seen, think this years masters might turn into a tiger show. gla

taylormade April 3rd, 2012 15:14

Hunter Mahan playing great consistent golf and could net you a return, same with Westwood, think Choi is too cautious a golfer and Daywill find the water too many times, hope you Paddy Powered your picks as my confidence in Tiger winning is growing by the day, gl

Tony2005 April 3rd, 2012 15:30

Dustin Johnson out of the Masters

taylormade April 5th, 2012 13:02

Just been told when final day of masters falls on Easter Sunday, the winners caddie has always worn number 53, Lee Westwoods caddie is wearing the magic number this year and seeing as I already think he will be in hunt, just had £100 e/w on at 20/1,Also Lee is the Professional attached to my club [Close House],The signs are there that he will be a major winner come sunday night. goodluck Lee.

Tony2005 April 6th, 2012 07:40

Well hes made a great start....

I was looking to back him but just didnt think the odds were that great....:brains:

That goes to prove what i know....:'D

Part-Timer April 6th, 2012 08:53

His chipping and putting at Bay Hill was very poor, thought with a similar

performance at Augusta he wouldn't have a chance :brains:

taylormade April 6th, 2012 11:32

Thinking we are in the with a good chance of picking up some cash,Westwood could/should have been 8 under,Ousthuizen was striking the ball very good and I still think Tiger will be in the hunt come Sunday, hopefully my selections will continue to keep their form and keep the excitement going till the eighteenth on Sunday, gl

Tony2005 April 6th, 2012 12:25

Except for the Westwood balls up im quite happy with my selections after round one..

Im sure we are in for a great days entertainment and hopefully we will all be in with a shout come Sundays final round...

taylormade April 7th, 2012 12:27

need psychiatric help just had a tenner on tiger at 33/1.think he needs two rounds of 65 to be in with a shout,Lee and Louis are still up there and me thinks tmorro evening should be tremendous entertainment.

Tony2005 April 7th, 2012 13:34

I managed to get on TIGER b4 last nights round at 12/1.....:'D:'D

taylormade April 7th, 2012 14:27

I do think if a few putts drop early on for him today,he could shoot a 59,needs to sort out his driving, iron play and chipping tho.

taylormade April 8th, 2012 10:27

I normally luv watching the masters but last night was hard work,I felt I was playing the shots for Lee and Louis,When they missed a putt or didnt escape the clutches of the sand trap,it was like someone was abusing me,maybe its because I have few quid wagered,Mickelson looks like a man on a mission and has one arm in the jacket already, should be fun tonight,my men missed so many putts by millimetres it was hard to take, but tonight those putts will drop and Louis will save me.

Part-Timer April 8th, 2012 17:08

Last throw of the dice Jacobson and F. Molinari to finish top 5 16/1 & 17/1

taylormade April 8th, 2012 21:42

im hoping for a thunderstorm and scores count as they are, cant bare another hour of this, come on louis and lee,one of you please.

taylormade April 8th, 2012 22:56

I just bottled it and covered myself £550 on bubba to win play off 10/11,
I rarely do this but think Bubba has the upperhand.

Tony2005 April 9th, 2012 07:22

Well i doubt many were on "Blubber Watson".....8-P

But what great golf he played over the last nine holes and although he got a bit lucky in the playoff in the end a worthy winner...

As for the rest....Westwood might be the new monty when it comes to majors...:eek!:

If only he could putt he would be a multi majors champ..

I think the British Open will be his best chance of a major....:brains:

Unfortunately my thoughts came true, on him anyway. :-C

taylormade April 9th, 2012 12:33

Think Westwood played great golf, not sure how many of his putts shaved the hole or finished behind the cup, I cant believe he didnt win, thinking lady luck wasnt on his side this week but Im sure he will be a major winner soon. Think its a mind game with pros, they can all hit great shots, its whoever has the talent to come through when under the pressure of a potential win, why they feel this way is anyones guess, when you have their lifestyle,I would think pressure doesnt exist when they are at the top of the game.

Tony2005 April 9th, 2012 12:39

Westwood had 21 more putts through the first three rounds the Mickelson had....:eek!:

I think there lies the problem...:brains:

Whilst his putting was very poor, for their standards, when you hit as many greens

in regulation as Westwood does then you will always take more putts than a player

like mickelson. Sometimes these stats aren't used correctly, what they should do is

show how many putts inside 10' did they make and use similar stats to show how

badly they are putting.

Yes thats a good point PT....:brains:

taylormade April 9th, 2012 15:28

you can read too much into golf stats,I would rather be backing the player who hits the greens with his irons, than the player who must chip and putt well to scramble a score,Augusta greens are a nightmare if you in wrong place, sometimes the putter is hot and they go in from all angles and distances, all you can do is roll the ball to the hole and pray,to me the bad putter is someone who doesnt get the ball to the hole, you can be sure of one thing if it doesnt reach the hole it wont go in.
