We're delighted to announce the launch of the Badbeat Dream Team Season 6 with a breathtaking $100,000.00 in Guaranteed Prizes as follows: -

The Winning Team will receive a $60,000 WSOP Main Event Team Package including 4 entries to the $10,000 WSOP Main Event plus $5,000 each for travel, accommodation and spending money.

The Runner-Up Team will receive a $24,000 WSOP Side Event Team Package including 4 entries to the $2,500 WSOP Event 56 (TBC) plus $3,000 each for travel, accommodation and spending money.

The Third Place Team will receive a UKIPT Main Event Team Package including 4 entries to a £500/500 EUR UKIPT Main Event of the team's choice plus approximatly £375 in spending money each.

The remainder of the $100,000.00 Guaranteed Prize Pool ($10,000) will be distributed amoungst the Final Table players at the Live Final as follows: -

THE FORMAT
Dream Team Season 6 will commence at 19:00 (GMT) on Thursday 13th January 2011 on PokerTime.eu (Microgaming Software) and will run every Thursday for 17 weeks (with a one week break for the UKIPT Manchester) however Dream Team Season 6 will cosist of 20 Tournaments, 3 of which take place on Mondays.

The structure will be a $15 No Limit Hold'em Rebuy (unlimited $15 Rebuys available for the first hour and one $15 Double Chip Add-On available at the break) for the 17 Thursday tournaments and a $30 Freezeout for the 3 Monday tournaments.

Dream Teams will be limited to 4 players per team, points will be awarded to the top 3 finishing players per team in each tournament and each team's total points at the end of the 20 on-line tournaments will be divided by 4 and added to a 10,000 starting stack for each player at the live final.

Each team will start the Live Final with different chip stacks based on their performance throughout the 20 on-line tournaments, thus giving the best performing team on-line, an advantage at the Live Final.

:hi: 50% of the prize pool collected in each tournament will be paid out on the night and 50% will be held back for the Live Final Guaranteed Prize Pool.

HOW TO REGISTER YOUR DREAM TEAM
Anyone can participate in the Badbeat Dream Team Season 6, whether you're a Badbeat Sponsored Player or not or whether or not you've entered a Dream Team before, simply ensure each player in your team completes the below two steps, then complete the Dream Team registration form.

a) Create an account on PokerTime.eu (unless you already have one)
b) Register as a member of www.Badbeat.com (again unless already registered)

Once your team is submitted all you need to do is play in as many of the 20 on-line tournaments as possible, the more you and your team play the more chance you have to better your starting stack at the live final and better your chances of winning a share of the $100,000.00 Guaranteed Prize Pool!

If you want to participate in Dream Team Season 6 but you don't have a team to join - don't panic - simply complete the Dream Team Registration Form and we will either enter you into an existing team or set up a new team of players also looking to join a team (please state if you are happy to be a Captain if we create a new team for you).

Likewise if you have a team of 2 or 3 players and can't administer the full team of 4 please submit your partial team anyway and we will help you to complete your team with players looking to join a team.

We will accept an unlimited number of teams on-line, however, the top performing 100 Teams / 400 Players will be able to participate in the Live Final due to restrictions on numbers at the Live Final Venue.

So far I have had a chat (online) with both Lee Harrison and Craig Tranter who feel they would be interested ..
Main concerns are times that these tournaments will end,:ie silly o'clock in the morning, and probably not being able to commit to all 20 games :brains:

My understanding is they will start around 7 00pm or 7 30pm so I'm guessing 1 00 /2 00 finish, like most of us I have to work Friday so I wouldn't want real late finishes with no sleep hardly o:D

Also as for committing to all 20 games, well I also would possibly miss one/two/ three games.. sometimes things happen, cant be helped .
So we'll take it as it goes, it's not a sprint but a marathon and it's the LIVE final where the WSOP tickets are won ..

THE LIVE FINAL
The Dream Team Live Final will be a two day event taking place at the Circus Casino at Birmingham's Star City Leisure Complex, commencing at 14:00 on Saturday 28th May 2011 and again at 13:00 on Sunday 29th May 2011.

All 4 players from each team will be able to participate in the Live Final; points will be awarded as one point per position for the top 100 runners with first place receiving 100 points, second place receiving 99 points and so on...

The top three scoring Teams at the live final will be declared the Dream Team Season 6 Winners, Runners-Up and Third Place Team. Any additional cash collected above the Guarantee will be included in the Live Final (Final Table) Prize Pool.

The closest Hotel to the Circus Casino is the Hampton by Hilton (formerly the Purple/Blueberry) which is less than a 5 minute walk away from the Casino.

Its always going to be a problem at getting 4 players to be available for all games,think you at a disadvantage if you miss out on points by missing games.
think the answer is more than 4 players in a team,is it not possible to register 6 0r 7 players,I know only 4 can play live game,I could be super sub and a cheerleader at live final. gl

Hi Taylor, ,, I dont think you can enter more than 4 per team.. (not sure but can check) I played this before (event 4)... In that event you could enter 6 and weekly nominate your 4 players for that night..

However I think the problem was/is the winning team has 4 Vegas places, and it would not be fair on the other two left behind..

The point having 4 players only, as long as the 4 are going to play say any 16 of the 20, it wouldn't really matter ..

The thing is to play as a team, by individually trying to get into the top 20 or as close as.. playing the long game ...
It's total team points that get the added chips for the final ..
A few missed games wouldn't matter to much, it's all about being steady consistent as a team over the 20 weeks .. :cool:

Because I didn't play regularly enough apparently. Said something like if you dont play in the next month you will lose your credit. About a fiver I think :h?:

Im interested in participating in this event,would be delighted to join a team of like minded players. Im genuine and good for 19 games if not all 20. Could do with a goal for next year,quit smoking goes out the window when I wake up on New Years Day. gl

I'm all over the place with poker at the moment, 'tourneys' 'Sit n go's' 'cash' .. on about four different sites ... So for me this will be my main on-line focus each week ..
And New Year resolution, play less online and get to more Live games over the weekends ....o:D

I've played in the last three of these and was 4th in DT3 live final, for a good return.

They are good fun and it is a good standard of play.

Only issue is, you must be able to attend the live final. I've seen teams play 20 weeks, and get a good starting stack (better than average) and only 1 person has turned up for the final. The other stacks get blinded away for the first two levels and then get removed... its nuts. But if you cannot field 4 in the final, you have little chance of winning the prizes.

I'm happy to play in a team - and can commit to most weeks - let me know. And it would be good to have a meet up at some point with a few members.

Might be an idea to drop Bally an email if anyone has his email address (Tony?), I know we've not seen him in a while, but I think he lives in Birmingham area.
