go to ladbrokes main page

click on horses

then scroll down to the bottom and ull see it on the left hand side

its called raceclubs

there is an auction today that runs till sunday, so some very very good horses at reasonable prices

i was on the forum last night and one guy said he was putting 2 challenge horses into auction today with a min reserve of £750, he got inbox by a guy who said he would give him £1000 cash to sell them to him privatly

madness, he just sold 2 virtual horses for £1000, one guy has put his whole stable up for auction as he doesnt have time to play the game anymore and has put it up for £2000, there is 3 guys currently fighting eachother for it lol

crazy money

tiredeyes July 4th, 2008 20:05

I'm gonna have a little dabble,

TiredEyes, NEWBIE (free) a grey horse with Sunderland stripes silks (obviously)

3200m soft ground, only at 72% get him up to 95-99% then I'll race him

themanwiththeknow July 5th, 2008 10:05

the free horse

you get given is a pile of chite, it is only good for newbie races (which u cant win money in or class D races where you will win only few £s

if you have a spare few £s i suggest going to the auction where you will pick up some decent class B or C horses that will win you enough money to get a foothold in the game and be able to keep your stable going until u understand it all

if you need any help on how you go about finding out which distance your horse prefers feel free to ask and good luck

tiredeyes

did you know you can train him up to over 90% on his first day, then after that you get 3 runs a day

best way to find his prefered distance is to run him over 1200 then 2200 then 2850 on the same track (majority use american dirt)

this will give you an idea of weather he is sprinter/classic or stayer

then once you have his preferred distance, run him over that distance at different grounds/goings to see which he prefers

for example if the horse is a sprinter then run him over 1200 on different tracks/goings to see which he prefers

then when you know which his preferred distance/going is stick him in a newbie race

tiredeyes July 6th, 2008 12:37

Couldn't train him up to 100% on 1st Day

TiredEyes, Grey: His best trip (beating training horse by biggest distance) is 3200Mt on soft/muddy

NEWBIE Race: Jul 7, 08-0:39, 3200mt, America dirt (muddy) currently at 97% fitness

Good Luck TiredEyes

Can't even watch it as it only works in IE :(

themanwiththeknow July 6th, 2008 12:48

how come you cant watch it?

i ve found the race, prob watch it later see how he runs

good luck in race

themanwiththeknow July 7th, 2008 00:50

tiredeyes

wins on his debut (5 runners)

ran a very good race and 3200 definatly looks his distance, only 0.83L seperating 1st and 3rd, i actually thought it was going to lose, but just managed to hold on and get to the line

what is his fitness at now mate? is it still under 100%? if it is then dont train him as that will take him over 100% and he will be unraceable until he gets bk into 90s

if it is still under 100% then there is a rated race @ 14.33 (15.33 our time) it is for D class horses like tiredeyes, i have one of mine entered into it (there is 3 entered so far)

it is canada dirt track over 3200, only £1.02 to enter, prizes are 50% for 1st, 25% for 2nd, 15% for 3rd and 10% for 4th

should be a good race for you're horse if you can get him entered

congrats on the win

tiredeyes July 7th, 2008 15:17

Not going to bother putting him in a cash race as reading the forum the Newbie horses are chit, just using him to get used to the site and tbh it's terrible I find the navigation very poor there's no "back" button so you gotta go to the last page you visited by going through the menu's again. It's ALL abbreviations with a pop-up legend, why not have it so you can hover your mouse over it and get a mini pop-up telling you what it is.
I can't watch any of the races or replays coz I use Mozilla Firefox not that Internet Explorer junk.

Could be a great little pastime you imagine but Jesus they don't make it simple to understand do they.

Anyway Race #2 for the unbeaten gelding TiredEyes:

July 8th 00:24 (01:24 UK time) Canada 3200mt (Muddy)

"C'mon my son !!!!"

I wander if there's a horse called "My Face" :eek!:

tiredeyes July 8th, 2008 09:08

Tiredeyes snatches victory again 2 for 2 over 3200mt (soft/muddy)

http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/7...orseig8.th.jpg

next race: Hong Kong 3200 (yielding) 9/7/8 01:39 (02:39 uk)

tiredeyes July 9th, 2008 07:21

TiredEyes wins again in Hong Kong he's now 3 for 3, 100% strike rate.

However he's went over the 100% fitness and dropped down to 50% so needs a few days off in order to train him back to 95%+

Would love to see how he rates against all the other Newbie horses but dunno if thats possible.
