Default Bookmakers.....

No online commentaries tonight from any tracks....

I went into the Ladbrokes in Newmarket (one of 4 shops they have in town)...and the bird behind the counter was listening to music through the shope system...

I asked her if there was any commentary into the shops and she said yes but as no one was in she had her cd on.....

Why do they let these bookies open all hours........They dont want to take bets anymore just put more and more fruit machines in and stay open all hours...

There are 3 that dont close till midnight already in Newmarket....

Yes, it was the same online ..The meeting (Sittingbourne) is headed a 'Bags' meeting .. But there was no commentary from any tracks ..

Also, I noticed last week, went into a Ladbrokes (could've been any betting shop to be honest)
Yes like you say loads of fruit machines But ..
On the screens were 3 Virtual dog meetings and 2 virtual Horse meeting ...And this was around 3.00pm in the afternoon .

It's about time the government did something, all these bookies are now, mini casinos ..
You find many different betting shops in the towns today, but none of that casino money goes back into the lifeblood of the real sport of horse racing or greyhound racing ..
These firms ALL operate with offshore accounts as well ...
Oh and don't get me started about the 'rake' these firms take from their poker sites

Years ago we all paid 10% tax on winnings, bookies complained it was killing them so the Government dropped it. How did they repay this? 10 years later they all moved offshore. Time to seriously consider the way the French do it, Tote only and profits go back into prizemoney. Stop all these leeches.

Its a good idea but....

Fred The Red brought the tote and now he takes 40%...

Its all corrupt and its the owners who pay the money to put the races into the shops that are suffering...

Prize money is at an all time low but as long as people are pouring their wages and savings into machines that are clearly fixed for the bookies to win it will only get worse.

Labour tried to get a bill through parliment last week limiting the number of machines and the amount you can stake but Cameron decided that he would like more time to investigate...

The sooner we get rid of him and the "gay libs" the better......they are just raping the country but thats what all the parties do in the end.

What we need is a NO goverment state.....and then at least we wont be shovelling billions to other countries who just spunk it all away.
