Default Where do you play?

Hi Guys,

I regularly have a game with Bally online (and beat him more often than not as well lolol) but i wondered where you guys play, and what kinda games you play? Im very much into poker (its how i met Bally) and though im pretty useless very much enjoy playing games against people i know (of) rather than Joe Nobodies who hail forth from all corners of the globe...and ocean....

Default Morning m8

I think its quite mixed on here, most started on Laddies and still play there but over the last couple of years with the online game taking off i think most people now play a mixture of sites and try to find the value games.

I dont play that much now in MTTs or cash but play a lot of the private games where the poker is played to a much higher standard and not to the muff fests that a lot of online games have become.

I would like to set up a weekly game for us members from here and will be putting my ideas forward in the next week or so. I think this would be great fun and also good for the forum as it gets members to interact with each other.

Over the last 6 months there have been a lot of good friendships formed between nenbers from here and this would just take that one step further..

Good luck m8..

I very much agree with that sentiment Tony, and I may very well be able to help you out here - as Bally will confirm, I have organised, ran and sorted countless poker tournies, both private and public, online and live, and am very much into the promoting of community spirit based games and tournaments, with some very good success.

I recently created a private Sit N Go table on a site that both Bally and I use fairly frequently (though not exclusively) which is password protected, a $20 buy in min 5 seat, max 10 seat Deepstack STT table that I designed purely for the kind of poker player you make reference to...those that are tired of the crapshoot games with scandalously fishy plays you have to endure in most, if not all, STT's and MTT's available network wide.

If you would like either some assistance in doing this regular weekly game mate, setting it up, organising and formatting it, i would only be too glad to help....as said, im sure Bally would confirm my ability to do this and also my sincerity - and if you and your guys would like to use this table i have readily available, or would like me to arrange one specific for your requirements, id be only too happy to do so? And of course, if possible, id be up for any regular game you had........

Default Hi Shark..

No this is something ive been thinking about for the members here but havnt put this into practice yet..

Most of this sites members are all poker players so this could be good.

I play most of these private games on Laddies, Pokaplaya plays the odd one too (when hes saved up enough for us to take off him..). The standard of play in these is very good mainly Hold em but i do play a little hi/lo on a Monday.

Yes i think we could get plenty of people interested in these and they will be good fun comps ..

Thanks for your offer and im sure we can put a few together very soon..

Excellent,

Well if you ever want something like a series of games on a league basis, I can formulate that and put in into practice, otherwise just please let me know when you're all next having a game and count me in!!!

If you do want any help organising things Tony, just gimme a shout pal.

i play $1/$2 or $2/$5 depending on where the action is

and i have made about $3500 profit in the last 5-6 weeks

standard is absolutly shocking

yes guys i can confirm mark the shark has a remarbable knack at organising this type of thing he has done a few heads up leagues (which i do have to admit i think he is possably ahead on games ) he also runs the west midlands poker in the pub finals which are run very professionally at stanleys casino and are always great fun he'd be a great addition to anything poker related and (to be fair could possably be better than me (what am i saying) he's not a bad player and like the rest of us he'd much rather a good game and lose than win a muffest we played the heads up leagues he set up on the rivercard but not too happy with that software so looks like MTS (mark the shark) is looking for a new home
