Ok - Isn't this cake and eat it too

I believe in the US, players are Taxed on winnings! or is that the point?

Fingers crossed

I just can not understand what they are trying to do - Ok the companies are offshoring to ensure that they pay minimal corporation tax, but ultimately the country taxes the players on winnings. Yes its difficult to prove, but they get more money by letting people play and taxing them than making it illegal...

Unless they want an additional 'fee' for allowing usage in the US - Which we shall not call a Tax as that would be wrong!!! and then also tax the end user.

I remember Benny putting up a post after the WSOP a couple of years ago where the Final Table winnings, the various tax authorities took something like 50-55% of the Prize money

Somewhere, someone is getting very rich out of all this, and everyone wants some of it.... Its just not you or me Herbie!

I think poker hit an all time high maybe three years ago and has been on a steady decline ever since....

When i first started playing online in 2005 there was a decent standard of players and most peoples game had some respect....Now im afraid its turned into a lottery with a large majority of players now happy to throw their chips in and "get lucky"....

No matter how good a player you are you just cant beat luck and mix that with players just hoping to hit this luck then it makes things nearly impossible for the better players to win consistantly..

The Scandies in my opinion wrecked Laddies with their "get 'em all in " approach to the game and with them and the yanks of which most are useless the online world lost its sparkle.....

This has been coming for a while now .. Anyone who asks me what do i recommend as a site to play, I always tell them, play ANY British bookmaking site .. Ladbrokes Hills, Bet365 ANY thats running skins to British Bookmakers .. I was chatting online to Richard Ashby last nigh he still plays Full Tilt (or was) Accounts locked and he cant cash out, like so many others it appears .. All the big hitters (nose bleed stake players are grizzling at the moment not knowing whats going to happen)
I closed my Stars account a few years back and didn't like the Full Tilt software any ways ..
Stick with the British Bookmaker sites .. glk all
