Well i doubt many were on "Blubber Watson".....

But what great golf he played over the last nine holes and although he got a bit lucky in the playoff in the end a worthy winner...

As for the rest....Westwood might be the new monty when it comes to majors...

If only he could putt he would be a multi majors champ..

I think the British Open will be his best chance of a major....

Unfortunately my thoughts came true, on him anyway.

Think Westwood played great golf, not sure how many of his putts shaved the hole or finished behind the cup, I cant believe he didnt win, thinking lady luck wasnt on his side this week but Im sure he will be a major winner soon. Think its a mind game with pros, they can all hit great shots, its whoever has the talent to come through when under the pressure of a potential win, why they feel this way is anyones guess, when you have their lifestyle,I would think pressure doesnt exist when they are at the top of the game.

Westwood had 21 more putts through the first three rounds the Mickelson had....

I think there lies the problem...

Whilst his putting was very poor, for their standards, when you hit as many greens

in regulation as Westwood does then you will always take more putts than a player

like mickelson. Sometimes these stats aren't used correctly, what they should do is

show how many putts inside 10' did they make and use similar stats to show how

badly they are putting.

you can read too much into golf stats,I would rather be backing the player who hits the greens with his irons, than the player who must chip and putt well to scramble a score,Augusta greens are a nightmare if you in wrong place, sometimes the putter is hot and they go in from all angles and distances, all you can do is roll the ball to the hole and pray,to me the bad putter is someone who doesnt get the ball to the hole, you can be sure of one thing if it doesnt reach the hole it wont go in.
