Default the dutch guus hiddink

now has to prepare his team to beat the beat the dutch

thats like sven preparing for england to beat his native sweden

ITS JUST WRONG!!

i can see russia/holland being game of the tournament

can see an absolute goalfest with the way the 2 teams love to get forward

few pennies on 3-2, 4-2 me thinks

returns of £14.70 tonight for £9.70 profit

Default Quarter Finals

Now it gets interesting....!!

PORTUGAL V GERMANY

The Portuguese have looked very impressive in the 2 games they needed to win, whereas Germany have looked anything but impressive struggling to overcome Poland and Austria whilst being put to the sword by Croatia.

However the Germans, much like the Italians, normally do just enough to survive without ever really setting the world alight - can they do the same against Portugal?

I dont think so. Portugal just look stronger in every department, and with Frings almost definitely out tonight, and Podolski carrying an injury though expected to play, the German midfield is depeleted, with Ballack having to carry the fight against Deco, Moutinho solely. Then of course there is Ronaldo, who makes a big habit of scoring past Jens Lehman, as well as the not insignificant threat of Nuno Gomes up front for Portugal.

Germany do look steady if unspectacular at the back, but Croatia showed that they can be breached, and you must acknowledge that Portugal are a better attacking force overall than the Croats.

I go for a narrow 1-0 Portugal scoreline, though quite a flattering one for the Germans as i see Portugal fending them off with comparative ease.

From a betting perspective, you cant ignore the Ronaldo score first Portugal win 1-0 option at 22/1 - looks very good value that IMO.

I also like the draw option with Germany receiving a 1 goal start at 11/4.

I also like having 13/2 on Portugal to score a penalty, with the same odds being applied on Germany. When you have the likes of Deco, Ronaldo, Gomes, Ballack, Klose, Podolski on the pitch, it would be little surprise to see a penalty being given for either team, and 6.5/1 either side seems decent odds.

Overall - Heart says Portugal....Head agrees!

Default we need a decent winner

to get the kitty up to a decent amount

i have placed £10 treble on portugal, croatia and holland to qualify for the semis

returns if all 3 make it through will be £38.70

i was thinking of ht draw, ft portugal @ 6.00

or portugal to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 @ 3.40

Default sharky

i understand what you are saying about value being in ronaldo and 1-0 at 22/1

only thing with that is it is down if germany score or if portugal score twice, i would rather we dutched a few scores and still got a very good payout

for example........

ronaldo 1st g/scorer and portugal to win 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 is 10/1

i mean we need ronaldo to score 1st for he bet to stand, but with 1-0, 2-0 or 2-1 we have 3 scores working for us and not just the one

we could throw deco into the mix to give us 2 possible 1st scorers and that works out @ a very decent 13/2 shot

that way we would have 3 possible correct scores and 2 possible 1st g/scorers rather than just one score and one scorer

i know 22/1 is a big price, but 13/2 is also a very good price for a single bet, and gives us multiple options

what do you think??

Default sorry guys

internet has been down for days!!

had £5.00 bet on holland/russia game which lost, it was ht draw ft holland @ 5.00

had £5.00 on spain/italy game which won, it was ht draw ft draw @ 5.00

so the bank is now up to £48.00

£24.00 will be used for germany/turkey and £24.00 for spain/russia

get ur opinions on those 2 games in and we,ll find ourselves a bet, youve got a couple of days b4 the first semi final, so hopefully we will get plenty of good opinions on the 2 games and can hopefully find a bet to beat the bookies and give ourselves a decent prizepool in this stt

cheerz guys
