Default I dont know but !!

Once i'd called to see a flop and missed .. i'd have passed to any bet..

What were you calling to hit with 87 ... Not , K 8 4 ..turn Q
to call or raise Pre-Flop with 87 your looking to hit a mystery straight or a miracle full house ....when you've hit an 8 on the river ...it's a gamble .. you haven't a clue where you are..............but then again it's Ladbrokes so, as i said,

I dont know

Default Mmmm

i limped in for 100 and hit the flop and bet it only to be called...i checked the turn to call a small bet (300) then when the 8 hit on the river i bet 1k....so i thought i played it quite well to that point.....

Default Well here it is...

i thought about this for over a minute and all i could think was he had A 8....So out kicked me....

Well as only top five paid and me now down to less then 4k in a TWO DAY deepstack i decided quite rightly that he didnt have an ace so a split at worst and he didint have 2 pair....quite right again

He had..

Default connector's

When you choose to enter a pot pre-flop, you have to think 'position' and 'chip stack' of your opponent and what flop you need to see with the cards your playing, OR do you think you can outplay the player involved with a bluff...ie your in with a rock or a passive player (assuming your all ready heads up).......The thing about small connecting cards is, yes there fine if you late position and getting in cheep ...45 56 67 78 (not 89) 10 J and you have a size able stack . In fact there great hands to win big pots with ..BUT.. you need to hit the flop immediately and the only hands to hit are.. flop a set ..ie flop 66J and you've limped in with 65... or 87 and the flop come 456 or 569 or 6 9 10 ....
The thing is this, it's cost you only a big blind to limp in and maybe someone has slow played a big pair QQ KK AA or even a medium 10 10 JJ .. they see a flop of 569 and move all-in because they have an over pair to the board and think they are ahead However 87 on a board of K 8 4 for instance with pre flop action or not is a miss to any bet...the reason to play connectors is to hit immediately and hit strong not hit middle pair with a weak kicker
So when choosing to play any hand be aware of the pre flop betting and what stack size your up against and what stage the tournament is at ... ...
One last thing connector's are best played in cash games rather than tournaments unless as i say, you can limp in late with them..

right i'm off to ma bed ..glk mate...
