Heads up in a mtt
 
Well i havent won a mtt for 3 yrs now ( plenty of cashes but no cigar) , but yesterday finished 2nd and just finished 2nd in one today , which leaves me thinking i need to be able to play heads up better ....anyone recommend any good books on this subject ?

Strange as it may seem but I also got the 2nd place last night ..
Mine was in that new 'PokerMob' League on the 'Grosvenor poker' site

My way heads up is ... keep pressure on, min raise BB pre- flop ..
Or all-in any pair , or , any Ace ..
It really depends on the chip stack of you and your 'oppo' ..But in the main you have to the aggressor , chipping away at the 'oppo' ..
If they are the small stack, only call their all-in bets with at least two picture card, or medium high pairs, or possible A 9 upwards ...
The best I can say is use your 'sixth scense' and what your gut feeling is in that moment :news:

To be honest the HU is the easy part ..
Your obviously playing well because the hard part is getting into the money ..
The first couple of hours is the 'make or break' time in tournies..

Last nights tourney , over 6 1/2 hrs , heads up with nearly a 2 to 1 chip count up on my opponent and stuffed after half an hr ...my heads up play is c rap !
