The Self-Preservation Society!.
They're Back :loveme: https://youtu.be/aIechPy5ycc
Yes 'The Self Preservation Society' are back here on 'Talksportforums' :D Bringing information with the help of 'The Horse Whisperer' who has given us some great tips already this season including yesterday at Newmaket with the gambled 'God Given' (11/1 into 7/1) So keep a look out for what's ahead; some flat horses , some jumpers and even the odd greyhound from a select kennel ;) |
Sunday 23rd July
Today we have a couple over the jumps and one on the flat in France -
All favourites but should be too good in their respective races ;) 2.50 Horse Force One (Newton Abbot) 10/11 2nd 3.20 Bagad Bihoue (Newton Abbot) 8/15 ....... 1st 1.35 Heartache (Maisons-Laffitte) 1/2- (Nap) - 3rd Good luck folks :flyaway: |
27th July
Just the one small each/way for us today.
At Newbury this evening (7.05) in an eight horse field we feel 'Rake's Progress' is the value . 1st . returned 8/1 :flyaway: Carrying bottom weight and a good claimer who gets another 5lb off in the saddle, the price of 12/1 looks worth the bet e/w o:) |
We like that winner. 12/1 into 8/1 o:D
|
Nice winner there Benny.......:clap::clap:
Just pipped my 13/2 shot..........:'D:'D |
Sat 29th July
It's the big Ascot meeting today and the King George being the star attraction -
On paper it looks a great race but from our view, they're all in there with a chance, even the Argentinian raider, (rank outsider) so for us anything can win and it's a race we'll just watch and enjoy .. For our bets today we're having a small e/w single on 'Alwahsh' (9/1) off a low wieght in the 2.25 Ascot . 0 Then two others later - Win singles and e/w double ;) Validator (3/1) 5:35 York . 2nd Horroob (2/1) 3:05 Newcastle . 2nd That's all folks ..enjoy :flyaway: |
Sat 5th Aug -2017-
Just the one for us today in the 2.05 Newmarket in the Nursery (first race) .. E/W Pleasant Surprise o:) . 2nd - 6/1
That's all folks :flyaway: |
Sunday 6th Aug
The 'Horse Whisperer' has two today , one up at Chester and the other over in Ireland at Galway..
The in-form John Gosdens 'Zenon' looks to be the banker of the day. This son of Galileo has the form in the bag and is our main bet .. As for 'Ben Button', who's now having his second race under top trainer Willie Mullins, this ground and trip should prove in his favour and with Ruby Walsh on board looks good to us today ;) Win each and each way double o:) Zenon (13/8) 15:10 Chester .. 3rd Ben Button (10/3) 14:45 Galway .. 1st .wow - easy winner 10 lengths |
(Sat 12th Aug 2017)
The 'Whisperer' called and reckons, with a tricky looking card at Ascot he's going with one main bet at Newmarket . It was noted that Josephine Gorden chose to come to headquarters today rather than ride at the 'Shergar Cup' meeting at Ascot ;) So our main single bet is 'Anythingtoday' (11/4) in the 3.05 - The combination won on Tuesday at Bath and can follow up today Result 0 - Lets just say the jockey could have done better - Winner in waiting mext time |>| He also likes the e/way chances of 'Rakes Progress' (9/1) in the 3.25 Ascot 4th- o:) That's all folks :flyaway: |
Sat 19th Aug -2017-
Today 'The Whisperer' has three of John Gosdens horses to bet.
He thinks two are solid e/w chances and one other should be our 'banker' ;) 2.25 Newbury - To Eternity (e/w) 5/1 0 3.35 Newbury - Nathra (e/w) 6/1........3rd 2.30 Doncast - Stream Song (Nap) 10/11 0 Good luck o:) |
Sat 26th Aug -2017-
On the move and travelling up and down the country today is French Jockey 'Gerrard Mosse', his rides at Newmarket and Windsor looks likely to make the trip worthwhile ;)
2.05 New - 1st . Betty F ..5/2f gambled in -looks a very nice 'Frankal' filly winning this - One to follow ..Quote now 33/1 for 1000Gns |<| 2.40 New - 0 5.10 Wind - 2nd. Angel's Whisper ..13/2 gambled in - good first time out effort ..Another to follow 5.40 Wind - 3rd. Himalayan Queen .. 6/1 gambled in - Singles + small multi bet :flyaway: |
Sept 7th
Ahhh, well there's a whiff in the air of autumn and the National Hunt season is ready to break out in bloom o:D
So with the flat season getting ready to close it's doors , we're going for our first stike of the jumps season at Sedgefield in a 'Novice Chase'. 2.40 'Pretty Reckless' (6/1) e/way 3rd behind the 'Fav' - place will do us Good luck 'peeps' ;) |
Sat - Sept 9th
It's a busy weekend and the 'Horse Whisperer' has three each way chances for us - all have been backed this morning ;)
Poets Dream (6/1) 1:45 Thirsk - Wow 1st - 7/1 .Oh how easy was that, led and just drew away :flyaway: Rake's Progress (14/1) 3:55 Ascot - 0 - Led til 2 out then faded Ice Lord (15/2) 5:05 Ascot - Oh What !! 1st - 6/1 ..Looked tailed off at halfway, the came storming up the rail to win cozy :flyaway: Little e/w patent and each way singles should be the answer o:D Good luck all :flyaway: |
Thurs 14th Sept
Over in Ireland at Listowel today, our man say that 'Ben Button' looks a solid bet for the Willie Mullins yard;)
He also thinks the yard could go very close with their other two jumpers on the same card .. Ben Button (6/5) 5:50 Listowel (Nap) 1st . Evsf ..Oyi Oyi Ruby :) ..:flyaway: Lagostovegas (11/4) 5:20 Listowel .. 1st . 5/2f Bosman Rule (5/1) 4:50 Listowel .. 0 Win each and a small E/W Treble :flyaway: |
Fri 15th Sept
Back over in Ireland with the Listowel meeting again and after yesterdays winners our man has some interesting thoughts.;)
He likes the chances of the well bred 'Aherlow' in the 5.20 and in the NH flat race the Willie Mullins horse 'Koroleva ' in the 5.50 One other in the 4.50 'West Light' looks a good e/way bet of bottom weight in this 16runner h'cp 4.50 . West Light (20/1) .. 3rd - Ran a nice race into 3rd .. Gambled (25/1 into 12/1) 5.20 . Aherlow (100/30) .. 2nd - No chance in the straight behind hot fav (Returned 4/1) 5.50 . Koroleva (6/4) ..Nap 0 - hmm - last of the 7 runners |>| Add a small e/w treble .. just in case :flowers: |
Sat - Sept 16th
Busy day and our man over in Ireland at Listowel has what looks like a nice e/way (big price) chance' Marygale Bridge' returning to hurdles after 191 days since last run with several attempts over the big obsticles.
Now off bottom weight (10-4) in this heavy ground could spring a surprise.. He also has a couple of short price 'favs' that should oblige..o:D Also 'The Horse Whisperer' has two for us at Doncaster . Marygale Bridge (28/1) 3:25 Listowel .. PU made mistakes and pulled up Rathvinden (4/6) 5:10 Listowel . 1st . 4/6 ..easy winner Brahma Bull (7/4) 5:40 Listowel . 1st . 3/1 .. Nicely does it, always led Aclaim (9/4) 2:25 Doncaster ... 1st . 3/1 Red Mist (7/2) 3:00 Doncaster ..0 Good luck us .. Oh plus a small e/w acca ..:flyaway: |

Betty F pleases in Cheveley Park prep (September 21st 2017) Betty F delighted connections in a racecourse gallop at Newmaket on Thursday morning ahead of the Cheveley Park Stakes. The daughter of Frankel worked over five and a half furlongs in the hands of Frankie Dettori and finished upsides one of her two work companions. Trainer Jeremy Noseda is hoping she will have benefited from the experience and is looking forward to running her in the Group One over six furlongs, even though she has only had the one previous outing. That was in a maiden on the July course, which she won comfortably. "We're happy and delighted. She will go to the Cheveley Park and Frankie will ride her," said Noseda. "She's a filly with lots of talent. In an ideal scenario we could have done with another race in her preparation, but the filly only arrived in time to have that run at Newmarket. "Thanks to Michael (Prosser, clerk of the course) for allowing us to come here and work on the track. "She's got enough quality in my opinion to take part in the race. We've had our racecourse gallop today and that will help with our preparation. "It's the first time Frankie has sat on her and he liked the filly. My hope is she's learnt enough today and got enough out of it. "She didn't need anything for fitness. We just wanted the experience." Noseda is following a similar path to one he pursued with Carry On Katie. She went straight from a debut success in a maiden to winning the Lowther Stakes at York and then the Cheveley Park in 2003. "Carry On Katie went straight from a maiden to winning the Lowther and we'll keep our fingers crossed for a similar scenario," he said. |

Friday 16th Feb
We have two of our well fancied Cheltenham horses running this weekend.
Although short priced today (Friday) in the 3.30 Sandown Et Moi Alos can show his class. ( 2nd well disappointing but in that heavy ground it was a learning curve we think) Gary Moore (trainer) has made no bones about the fact that this is probably his most exciting novice in training. Also tomorrow (Saturday) another horse we have backed for Cheltenham is 'Waiting Patiently' who runs in the Ascot 3.35 trained by Ruth Jefferson. ( 1st Oh what a star - Great win on an emotional day for everyone.) This fellow is unbeaten over the larger obstacles and looks just a natural jumper who gallops for fun at pace. We have already back both (NR No Bet)- Et Moi Alos at 20/1 for the Fred Winter Juvenile Hcp Hdle and Waiting Patiently at 6/1 for the Ryanair Chase. So there we have it our two bankers for the weekend, good luck folks at happy punting :flyaway: |
